Tour Overview
Choose a pick-up time between 8am and 10am. Meet your private tour guide directly at the cruise ship pier and make yourself comfortable in your private tour vehicle.
Leave Passau and enjoy the beautiful, undiscovered countryside on your drive from Passau to Bavaria’s Lake Chiemsee. You will reach Prien am See after a beautiful drive on off-the-beaten-path roads, including a few photo stops.
Take the ferry boat to the island of the lake and start your King Ludwig II adventure. Together with your private guide you will walk through the beautiful park of the palace, followed by an audio guided tour of the King Ludwig Palace Herrenchiemsee.
After returning from the island it is time for some Bavarian lunch (own expense) in a typical Bavarian restaurant.
Arriving in Burghausen, another top highlight is waiting for you, the castle of Burghausen. Burghausen Castle is with a length of 1051 meters the longest castle of the world. Take great photos from the castle and have a good Bavarian draught or coffee before heading back to your cruise ship.
The tour concludes either in Passau or any other port between Passau and Linz.
