Start your Salzburg city tour with the Hellbrunn palace (17th-century prinz archbishop castle), where you will find the Sound of Music gazebo, after a 3-hour drive to Salzburg.
The next stop is the Leopoldskorn palace in Salzburg’s south, which was used for the filming of the world-famous film The Sound of Music in 1964. The palace is surrounded by an artificial lake and with the fortress Hohen Salzburg as it’s backdrop, wich is a perfect shot.
Continue with a tour through the old town of Salzburg, passing Mozart’s residence, Mozart’s birthplace, the Salzburg Cathedral, the festival houses, St. Peter’s Church, Franciscan Church.
