After about a 2 hour drive to Salzburg, start your Salzburg city sightseeing with a visit to the Mirabellgardens, also used for many scenes during ‘Do-Re-Mi’ in the world-famous movie Sound of Music. The prince archbishops used it as a place of celebration, pleasure and recreation. Hellbrunn served the bishops as a vacation domicile with a large garden and the trick fountains. The construction of pleasure palaces was highly fashionable in the early 17th century.
