Tour Overview

Meet your professional local guide and driver at your hotel in Innsbruck and board your luxurious minivan. Your journey then takes you on a scenic route through the Austrian states of Tyrol and Salzburg to the Bavarian Alps with Berchtesgaden and Eagle’s Nest as top highlight of this full day private tour from Innsbruck.

Make a photo stop in a Tyrolean village and marvel at the beautiful Kaiser Mountains. Once in the Bavarian town of Berchtesgaden, you will have time to enjoy a Bavarian specialty for lunch.

After lunch you will take a short drive from Berchtesgaden to the Obersalzberg. From that historical point we will access the Eagle’s Nest with special busses and elevator. You will have 2 hours at the Eagle’s Nest, time to get many ever-memorable pictures. The very scenic view to the Bavarian Mountains, the King’s lake (Koenigssee) and the surrounding area of Salzburg will be an everlasting memory of your holiday.

After returning from the Kehlsteinhaus, you will learn more about the history and visit the Hotel zum Türken, the ruins of the Berghof and other World War II sites, all located in the Obersalzberg area.

Finally, you will drive along a scenic mountain road to the German-Austrian border and from there on to the city of Salzburg.

After checking into your Salzburg hotel, you can relax and review your day of sightseeing in the beautiful Mirabell Gardens, which were used for filming the world-famous musical Sound of Music.

Optionally, you can take the train back to Innsbruck in 2 hours stress-free and safe.

Wonderful What a wonderful tour! Patrick is a wealth of information about the area. We stopped at a number of places to take pictures of the most gorgeous scenery on the way to Hallstatt. He made a reservation at a lovely restaurant in Hallstatt where we ordered traditional Austrian food. Patrick took care of every detail. He was so easy to talk to and was eager to answer all our questions and offered recommendations of places in Salzburg to eat. Great private tour

Immersive & Engaging Started with a no fuss booking with Manfred who gave the good advise to start at 9am rather than 10am to capture as much daylight. Patrick our guide was fun, informative and accomodative. Took us to local detours to see a waterfall and gave us lots of little tips along the way. Would highly recommend.

Excellent Great tour and great friendly guide. 👌🏻 Highly recommended!!!! Would definitely use again. 👍🏻👍🏻
Highly recommend This was a wonderful experience for our group of 6! Patrick kindly stopped at several beautiful lake view photo ops along the way before we went to the salt mine (entry fee not included) and Hallstat. Everyone had fun at the salt mine, and we enjoyed a nice meal overlooking the lake thanks to Patrick's recommendation in Hallstat, a charming little town. The door-to-door service from our Salzburg hotel was fantastic.

Perfect Day Trip From Munich Outstanding!!! Patrick was the perfect guide. We were staying in Munich, Patrick is based in Salzburg and drove to Munich to pick us up (that’s how this tour works), so we had a Salzburg expert taking us around Salzburg. We picked the return train option for the end of the day, and Patrick walked us into the station, bought the tickets, and guided us to the platform to return to Munich. Honestly the train return was best as we slept. This is the perfect Munich day trip! Patrick is a rock star tour guide.

Excellent trip The view was amazing and I think we have the best time of the year for the trip. At beginning of the October colors of the trees were amazing. I stayed two days in Salzburg Austria at Hous am Moss, Cleanness of the place and relaxed atmosphere were amazing. Helpful owners even arrange an early breakfast so we could catch the plane from Munich. Thank you

Sound of Music/Lake District/Hallstatt Not sure if this was the same tour we were on, but we had Patrick as our guide and Manfred as our driver for this personal Sound of Music tour on our way to Hallstatt. It was the highlight of our trip to Austria! We decided while visiting our daughter, who was studying abroad in Vienna, to visit Salzburg as well. My husband got us this tour and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!! We have so many pictures, I can't add all of them. Patrick provided so much detail and insight into Austria for us! It was wonderful.I highly recommend!!
