Tour Overview

Day 1: Duration: 8 hours

After breakfast, meet your private Local Guide and hop on board of your luxury vehicle. This morning, start your day with a visit to a medieval monastery surrounded by stunning vineyards.

You will be awestruck when you arrive at Neustift Monastery, a spectacular medieval edifice that houses an early Christian village from the 12th century. Listen to your guide’s fascinating insights into the site’s history as you wonder at the old village surrounded by vineyards, the Neustift church, and the melancholy scenery that greets you at every step.

Next is the visit of Rodenegg Castle. Rodenegg Castle, built in the 12th century, is one of South Tyrol’s most impressive fortresses. It is built on the Rienz River’s gorge, which appears to be extremely dangerous. The castle’s interior features a beautiful cycle of frescoes depicting scenes from the Iwein saga.

In the rustic mountain huts and inviting restaurants, culinary delicacies for all tastes are available.

After lunch, stay on off the beaten track and continue driving through the UNESCO-listed heritage Dolomite Mountains. Before arriving at the end destination of the day, Cortina d’Ampezzo or Alta Badia you’ll experience many great photo opportunities on the way.

The Alpine town of Cortina d’Ampezzo is nestled in the Dolomites and also near the world-famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Cortina d’Ampezzo is a town and comune in the Veneto region of Northern Italy, in the Province of Belluno, in the heart of the southern Dolomitic Alps.

Stay there for one night or take a short drive to Alta Badia.

Day 2: Duration: 4 hours

Fondly referred to as one of the most beautiful Alps Regions, the Dolomites are offering picture-perfect landscapes and quaint country villages. Continuing on through the Dolomite Mountains, we’ll travel from Cortina to Belluno, where you can enjoy the mountain scenery and the UNESCO protected region – have your camera ready – we can’t even describe to you how incredible the views are along this route! Arriving in Belluno, it’s time to have some lunch (own expense).

The tour ends at the landing stage of the private motor taxi boats in Venice.

Wonderful What a wonderful tour! Patrick is a wealth of information about the area. We stopped at a number of places to take pictures of the most gorgeous scenery on the way to Hallstatt. He made a reservation at a lovely restaurant in Hallstatt where we ordered traditional Austrian food. Patrick took care of every detail. He was so easy to talk to and was eager to answer all our questions and offered recommendations of places in Salzburg to eat. Great private tour

Immersive & Engaging Started with a no fuss booking with Manfred who gave the good advise to start at 9am rather than 10am to capture as much daylight. Patrick our guide was fun, informative and accomodative. Took us to local detours to see a waterfall and gave us lots of little tips along the way. Would highly recommend.

Highly recommend This was a wonderful experience for our group of 6! Patrick kindly stopped at several beautiful lake view photo ops along the way before we went to the salt mine (entry fee not included) and Hallstat. Everyone had fun at the salt mine, and we enjoyed a nice meal overlooking the lake thanks to Patrick's recommendation in Hallstat, a charming little town. The door-to-door service from our Salzburg hotel was fantastic.

Perfect Day Trip From Munich Outstanding!!! Patrick was the perfect guide. We were staying in Munich, Patrick is based in Salzburg and drove to Munich to pick us up (that’s how this tour works), so we had a Salzburg expert taking us around Salzburg. We picked the return train option for the end of the day, and Patrick walked us into the station, bought the tickets, and guided us to the platform to return to Munich. Honestly the train return was best as we slept. This is the perfect Munich day trip! Patrick is a rock star tour guide.

Excellent trip The view was amazing and I think we have the best time of the year for the trip. At beginning of the October colors of the trees were amazing. I stayed two days in Salzburg Austria at Hous am Moss, Cleanness of the place and relaxed atmosphere were amazing. Helpful owners even arrange an early breakfast so we could catch the plane from Munich. Thank you

Sound of Music/Lake District/Hallstatt Not sure if this was the same tour we were on, but we had Patrick as our guide and Manfred as our driver for this personal Sound of Music tour on our way to Hallstatt. It was the highlight of our trip to Austria! We decided while visiting our daughter, who was studying abroad in Vienna, to visit Salzburg as well. My husband got us this tour and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!! We have so many pictures, I can't add all of them. Patrick provided so much detail and insight into Austria for us! It was wonderful.I highly recommend!!

Beautiful Town, Excellent Guide! Our family very much enjoyed our day trip to Hallstatt. The little stops along the way made the trip extra special. The scenery and foliage were just gorgeous.Patrick was a fantastic guide- very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us really helpful advice on how to spend the remainder of our time in Salzburg. I highly recommend this tour, and I would not hesitate to book again with them in the future.
