Lakes & Mountains of Salzburg & Upper Austria

The "Salzkammergut" is the famous region close to Salzburg with its magnificent mountains, crystal clear lakes and typical austrian villages. This region was well liked by the archbishops of Salzburg and as well by the emperor Franz Josef.

The tour goes via the lake Fuschl to St. Gilgen at the Wolfgangsee. From St. Gilgen it´s a very scenic drive around the lake Wolfgang to the town of St. Wolfgang which is one of the highlights of that tour. In St. Wolfgang there will be time to visit the church with the gothic altar made by Michael Pacher and to have coffee at the "White Horse Inn".

Another highlight of that tour is the boat ride (50 minutes) from St. Gilgen to St. Wolfgang! (May 1st - October 26th)
